What began as an interest has developed into a passion and occupation. Ellen has been Saori Weaving and felting for over twelve years.   Five years ago Ellen was accepted as a global Saori studio— one of four on the West Coast.

Ellen teaches and creates from her home. She has shown her work at the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs, the Riverside Art Museum, the Borrego Springs Art Institute, and the 29 Palms Art Gallery.

Ellen is an Artisan of the Cabot Yerxa Pueblo in Desert Hot Springs.  In addition, she has participated as a weaver on the Backroads tour of Central Massachusetts. She has also participated in  Loom in Essence exhibitions in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Ellen was born in Massachusetts but educated in urban California at the University of San Francisco and the University of California, Riverside. She has lived and worked in Riverside County since the 1970s.
