Sandy loved jewelry from a very early age. Then she discovered that any metal other than 14k gold gave her an allergic reaction. This led her to take jewelry classes to learn to produce her own fine jewelry made out of real gold.
However, she found that she enjoyed making jewelry so much that she decided to start selling it to support her new habit. She sold a few pieces in the local art museum gift shop, and then a couple of boutiques, and finally a small department store with five locations. Sandy found satisfaction in knowing that others enjoyed her jewelry as much as she did. However, her 40-year career in education interfered with her jewelry making.
She retired and is now back to designing and making fine jewelry. She gets great pleasure from creating one-of-a-kind pieces from unusual stones, pearls, diamonds, and fine metals. Working in 14k gold and silver, I fabricate most pieces using unusual colored stones, pearls, and, of course, my favorite – diamonds.
