Ever since he found out what an airbrush was and what it could do, after seeing smooth graded tones from light to dark on a sci-fi paperback book cover, Kevin has been enamored by the airbrush’s ability to produce visual crescendos. Going from light to dark, pale to rich, warm to cool, that seamless contrast of the twilight sky from horizon to straight up overhead a smooth uninterrupted shaded tone.

Kevin’s paintings are acrylic on canvas using an airbrush. He likes to paint realistic, living plant forms. Agaves and succulents are his favorite subjects to paint. He tries to convey a sense of calm, relaxing, weightlessness creating paintings that are dreamlike and soothing. He wants his paintings to be enjoyed after a laborious task, like a comfortable recliner that welcomes you to revisit that special, peaceful place.
