Francie is an artisan specializing in hand dyed silk – art to wear (scarves, tunics and cover-ups). She has been dying silk for over a decade
Francie participates in a variety of local art shows and craft fairs (Irvine Fine Arts Center, Newport Beach Art in the Park, etc.) and has many repeat customers.
Having painted with various mediums over the past several decades, Francie discovered silk painting in 2012. The luminosity of the silk and the vibrancy of the dyes brings a whole new dimension to each piece.
She constantly exploring new techniques, weights and weaves of silk, and have expanded her silk scarf dying to include ponchos, caftans and tunics which she sews with silk thread and then dye dye.
