“His favorite time of the day to shoot is Blue Hour — that narrow window of light just before sunrise and just after sunset.”

Andy Taylor is a landscape and fine art photographer based in Carlsbad, California. Originally from England — where he played semi-professional football and won more trophies than he’ll admit — Andy spent two decades in Silicon Valley working in software, marketing, and business development before leaving high-tech and then pursuing photography seriously in 2021.

His work spans desert landscapes, coastlines, rural nature, and Europe, collected across a life built around being active outdoors: hiking, cycling, and arriving in places most people drive through.

His favorite time of the day to shoot is Blue Hour — that narrow window of light just before sunrise and just after sunset — and he prints exclusively on metal, a medium he chose deliberately for the depth and presence it brings to an image.

Andy shows regularly at galleries and art shows and has received numerous awards including an honorable mention at the 2023 and 2026 Del Mar International Photography Exhibition. Every print is signed by hand and individually authenticated. His photography is observational, story-grounded, and entirely his own.
