PaintingElizabeth Rydall
“It is all just fun–solving one painting at a time.”
Elizabeth began painting large objects in her childhood: her brother’s fish house, a demolition derby car, a huge water bin and the inside of her mom’s dress shop. These experiences were some of the most vivid of her early years because the impulse to express with paint was so intensely present.
Currently, Elizabeth has an interest in the layers of meaning we give to objects and experiences and see all paintings as part of the inner journey. Color excites and moves her as a person; breaking convention is an adventure, and unexpected combinations of mediums tickle her eyes. It is all just fun–solving one painting at a time.
