Gabriela has always enjoyed drawing and painting but only started painting on a regular basis over the last three years. She is self-taught and continues to learn by taking classes and workshops – art is truly a lifelong learning process for her.
She is originally from Orange County but after semi-retiring from a corporate design position, she moved to Riverside where she lives with her husband and three little dogs. She prefers painting in oils but also experiments with acrylics and pastels. Her inspiration comes mostly from places she has seen or traveled to and on occasion, she paints abstracts as well.
Her work has been exhibited at several juried shows including the Newport Beach Art Exhibition, City of Costa Mesa ArtVenture, Palos Verdes Art Show, Artists Council at the Galen in Palm Desert, Peninsular Art League in Washington, and several others.
