“A most influential time in the development of my artist spirit was spent with Robert Wood as he conducted a watercolor workshop at his Green Valley Lake home in the late 1990’s. Throughout that week I was transformed by Robert’s creative energies as he spoke and moved-dipping his paintbrush from water to palette to paper-releasing a burst of color that raced through my eye to my mind and lifted my very heart.”

Her muse Along with her as the artist, water itself, in the watercolor medium, remains a co-creator (often an impish one). She must frequently lay aside her brush and watch and wait a bit. Watercolors may need time to complete their magical changes as they dry. Their oft-surprising dynamics help determine Jane’s next steps.
