Watercolor/OilJeff McNair

“The chaparral is beautiful and I love the muted colors! I am gradually learning to understand the gray and brown subtleties of the palette of this region.”
Jeff McNair is a painter, author, and professor. He has only been painting for about 8 years, beginning in water colors, and then transitioning to oils. He has traveled around the world and has always loved natural beauty, especially with wildlife.
He’s recently enjoyed visiting with the wild burros in Reche and San Timoteo canyons. “Burros have become the major subjects of my painting. They are sweet, friendly animals who are quick to warm up and interact with you, especially if you offer them carrots! Their coloration is also really quite unique.
“Regarding his painting, he states, “The chaparral is beautiful and I love the muted colors! I am gradually learning to understand the gray and brown subtleties of the palette of this region.” Jeff is also a travel blogger with the YouTube channel, Pops Hiking and Travel. Some of the professional articles he has written about disability issues are available at jeffmcnair.com.
