Laurie had a long career painting murals and creating special wall and ceiling finishes all around Southern California. She used a variety of mediums including acrylics, metallic paints, glazes, plasters and gold leaf.

Now, she plays in her Redlands home studio mainly using her current favorite mediums, watercolor and alcohol ink. “I love how the colors flow and blend expressively and unplanned.”

On morning walks she snaps inspirational photos of interesting foliage, bark, rocks, flowers, birds and more. She sometimes likes to use acrylics, gouache and collage, creating unique mixed media art, always inspired by nature.
