Lora IgnatenkoWatercolor

“I am captivated by its transparency and fluidity, and unique ability to capture light and atmosphere.”
Lora Ignatenko, is a fine artist with a formal academic background. She was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where she lived for over twenty years and earned her degree from the Department of Art and Graphics at the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute. Following that, she spent thirty rich years living and creating art in Ukraine. Today, she is embarking on the third chapter of her life. She has relocated to California, where she is building a fresh start filled with new inspiration.
Lora has loved drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. Grounded in her classical training, she spent many years working primarily in oil. Recently, however, she fell in love with watercolor, and it has become the central focus of her practice. She is captivated by its transparency and fluidity, and unique ability to capture light and atmosphere . Her favorite subjects are floral compositions where she finds deep harmony and the delicate poetry of nature .
In addition to creating her own artwork, she enjoys hosting painting workshops for her friends, sharing knowledge and the joy of creativity.
She is currently actively participating in California art exhibition . For me, exhibiting is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow artists, discover new perspectives , present her vision, and feel the immense gratification of having her work resonate with new collectors and art lovers .
