Munir Jones is a fiber artist who creates one-of-a-kind Weavings using driftwood he collects at beaches and oak, pine and Manzanita he collects from mountains. His unique weavings use a variety of different fibers.
His work is applied with a steel needle and much Imagination. Each piece is signed and named and there is no one piece alike. He creates mountain designs and ocean designs.
Munir exhibits in art shows, and his work is in two stores at Lake Arrowhead. He creates custom pieces on request but otherwise chooses different color combinations that please him.
Munir grew up in South Central, Los Angeles where he was highly encouraged by his high school teacher, Mr. Eugene Woods.
