“My work expresses the underlying depth of thought and spiritual connection with nature that we find, subtly in pattern, texture and rhythm. ”

Patricia received her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in printmaking; she also worked at Crown Point Press where she started as an apprentice and became a Master Printer.

She opened her own studio, Areopress, in NYC where she worked with many well known artists for 17 years. She then moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado and worked as Master printer and director for Riverhouse Editions. After that she moved to Denver where she continued to do her own work as an artist. Finally she moved to Los Angeles in 2021 and is living and working there.

Patricia works in painting and monotype printing on Asian papers. Her interest is in light and transparency; patterns, shadows, reflections of nature.

Her work expresses the underlying depth of thought and spiritual connection with nature that we find, subtly in pattern, texture and rhythm. Using visual expression to get beneath the surface, watching as life and the universe evolve revealing itself to us like a whisper or a storm. Her patterns become waves, surging and crumbling, reflections. Some soft and others more volatile.

She uses a monotype procedure on Asian papers. Monotype is a process where she paints on Plexiglas and then lays the paper down on top of it and rubs from the back which transfers the ink to the paper making a one of a kind print. She then takes the print and forms it into a cylinder shape and adds light. She also hang some of the prints for paintings.

She has shown her work in Colorado and New York and now in California.
