“His mother took him to a house with other children and when he dipped his fingers into the yellow, blue and red paints it was as if sky opened up from his closed world as a toddler. It has been that way ever since. “
Rick’s interest in art began with his first finger painting at 2 or 3 years old. His mother took him to a house with other children and when he dipped his fingers into the yellow, blue and red paints it was as if sky opened up from his closed world as a toddler. It has been that way ever since.
Years later, after college and studying art, Rick changed careers and got into art full time spending almost all of it with artists, consultants and collectors from all walks of life. He learned by painting with artists in their studios.
Rick experimented and changed and continue to evolve from simple drawings to more complex pieces. He paints what he likes and it changes often.
Rick uses watercolor, oil, pastels, colored pencils or any other medium that seems to fit that which he is trying to create. Lately, he has been using acrylic paints on canvas because he likes the flatness of the colors – and they dry quicker than oil paints.
