Sioux cannot imagine her life without art. Like breathing and eating, she has an intrinsic need to create art that goes beyond desire or want… and it sustains her.
As an artist and communicator, she is an explorer of light, color, form, and expression constantly striving for the best way to develop and combine those four elements into a cohesive, well-articulated, and beautiful piece of art that has something to say.
The process of creating art has gifted her this great vehicle of communication … an empty white canvas being the anchoring material for her thoughts, emotions, desires, and dreams, allowing her to transform those elements into something sustaining to be shared with others.
There are rarely moments in life more fulfilling, or more rapturous for Sioux than creating art, the element of joy beyond measure. The resulting art is saturated with all the energy put into it and is capable of touching others in a myriad of ways, dependent on their own station in life.
